Being submissive is not giving up or giving in to one thing or another, but instead its setting aside our differnces and selfish wants with the intent that it will result in a greater good. As parents we want our children to have better lives and be better people than us. We must be submissve to the process of discipline and teachings even when we dont feel like it or want to deal with it. It is extremely harmful to children to not have that kind of structure to build their lives on.
With our spouses its hard to obtain that oneness that God wants in our marriages with out being submissive to their wants and needs. Love them how THEY need to be loved, NOT how you want to love them.
We have God to thank for the very breath in our lungs. Thats enough said. Out of His love he has submitted to our EVERY NEED, at a great cost. We should be submissive to His written word and let it teach and discipline us to be apart of the greater goodwumpashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07047781476598132586noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-516027962576624284.post-58817169860689611452012-04-28T00:03:20.647-04:002012-04-28T00:03:20.647-04:00Its also important to be 'honest' with you...Its also important to be 'honest' with your kids, which i've always been an advocate of.
Be straight with them, and they'll be straight with you.

"Mom, do you have any chocolate?"
"Yes."
"...can I have some?"
"No."Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07601415915170607195noreply@blogger.com
